With the analogue switch off in February, I was wondering if digital over the air reception will be available throughout SW Wyoming? The only thing I can receive with a small inside antenna is CBS on Channel 13 from Rock Springs but it's very poor and cuts out most of the time.
I have Dish Network but our locals are for SLC and I'd like to see some WY news too!

You'd need a good antenna, but I believe Evanston carries some of the SLC programming on some lower power translators. I'm not aware of the stations around Kemmerer. As far as SW Wyo in general. Having lived in Green River for a long time, I can tell you there are going to be two digital stations you should be able to receive. The first is KGWR, channel 13. Hopefully they get their act together when they go digital.
The second as of now is the local PBS. Thats about it as far as I know. Maybe Michael can fill in more info.

Thanks for the answer Milo. Probably the big 4 will begin transmitting after the switchover. I hope I don't only get the Salt Lake locals on there, when I had the local cable tv service, it had a mix of both states CBS and NBC.
Unfortunately the signal was absolutely shocking on most channels especially with Fox 13 so when the chance came to get a Dish system I jumped at it!

CBS should, and judging from their record, I stress, "should" be clear once February 17 hits. The signal level may not be the greatest in the world but most converter boxes, (like I use) will be able to get it.
Right now, I'm in Salt Lake and anticipate being here for a little while longer. I should be able to see the effects of the Feb 17th shut off. Right now I already get 25 channels here.
