104.7 is now booming into SLC, and likely all of southwest Wyoming. Yet another rimshot we should all be able to hear. KYLZ is licensed to Lyman, but broadcasts from Humpy Peak over the border in Utah. Humpy is south of Evanston, in the Unitas. Radio-Locator obviously hasn't updated the listing yet (not surprising) www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=KYLZ&x=0&y=0&sr=Y&s=C...and still says this station is Country, but I hear more of a Classic rock type format.

Hey Milo, interesting news. I found a small report about it and you're correct with it being a classic rock format.
“104.7 Cool Classic Rock” KYLZ moves into Salt Lake City
Millcreek Broadcasting has completed the move-in of KYLZ Lyman, WY into the Salt Lake City market as it shifts from 104.9 to 104.7 as “Cool Classic Rock” under PD Kayvon Moitee. The station is featuring Classic Rock from the 70’s through the 90’s as a flanker to sister Active Rock “97.5 The Blaze” KZZQ."
My FM tuner is disconnected at the moment but tomorrow I'll see if I can receive the station here - it might be fuzzy but receivable.
I drove to SLC today for a medical appointment (nasty weather along parts of I-80) and heard a station I hadn't found before though I'm sure it's been around for a while - 101.9 The End which reminds me a lot of My 99.5 - decent station with song & artist names at the end of songs but too many promos and commercials.

I know 101.9 The End very well. Its in the same building I work in (Citadel). I don't really care for the station much, mainly because I don't like the music they play, but I also can't stand the morning show host. I've never met him, even though I work in the same building. I'm not there early enough to see him.
Listened to KYLZ a little more this evening and I'm starting to like it more and more.
